Volunteering At YMCA Camp Connor

The sun was bright and warm as the crew from 655 arrived for a day of volunteering, fun, and a cookout. The trucks kept coming as our staff and students, undaunted, hauled bag after bag of mulch onto the trails to dress up the camp for the 2010 season. After a bout of hard work, our students enjoyed the fruits of their labor; retiring to the nearby beach, the swings, or wandering among the trees. There was plenty of sun and a gentle breeze as the scent of grilling burgers and hot dogs filled the air as our feast approached. It was a perfect moment to kick off our summer season here; combining a valuable service to our community and an afternoon of fun and sun. We work hard to play hard here at MMCC.
