Services at MMCC

 

  • Day services up to 7 hours a day (8:30—3: 30).
  • 1:1 Staffing with Educational Technician III including systematic instruction, participation in on-going Functional Behavior Assessment, Functional Communication Training, Social Skills Training, and overall IEP implementation with corresponding comprehensive data collection and analysis.
  • Individualized Academic, Social, Behavioral, Communication, Adaptive behavior (self help, social skills, communication, daily living, recreational, functional life skills) and community-based programming. Monthly progress reports are sent to families and school districts reflecting progress on all goals and objectives in the student’s IEP.
  • Curriculum assessment and design with development of IEP. Academic assessment and planning.
  • Ongoing teacher and parent in-service training and program consultation with clinical staff.
  • Internal Case Management.
  • Psychological Assessment and Consultation provided by Doctorate and/or Masters level service providers. Includes cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral, and adaptive skills evaluation as well as development of Positive Behavior Support Plans and on-going consultation and monitoring of program effectiveness using single case experimental design methodology.
  • Speech and Language services if needed including direct instruction, program consultation and student evaluation.
  • Occupational therapy services if needed including direct instruction, program consultation and student evaluation.
  • Social work services, family supports and individual counseling if needed.
  • Nursing consultation if needed.
  • Supported Inclusion to public school/less restrictive setting as indicated.
  • Transportation to and from community-based activities as outlined in IEP and when given parent permission for special trips. Fees paid by MMCC.
  • Attendance at all IEP team meetings for the student enrolled at MMCC. IEP meetings take place at MMCC once the student is enrolled at the Center.
  • Annual training Institutes to area professionals as well as families. Families of students enrolled at MMCC may attend free of charge.
  • Behavioral consultation and training services offered throughout the year to area public schools.
  • Under-graduate internship site as approved by University advisor and MMCC Director.
